Handmade 1/48th scale Battle of Britain Memorial flight Lancaster Spitfire and HuricaneMade to a very high standard and look stunning. Newly manufactured and is no 45 of a limited worldwide run of 150 sets. These models are hand crafted from recycled teak wood taken from old buildings, which are usually at least 50 years old, this means the wood is well seasoned so there is little chance of warping. Each model is coated with acrylic laquer to bring out the true colour of the wood, This also means the models can be painted with enamel or acrylic paint if you wish. The models are 1/48th scale ,the Lancaster wingspan is over 2 feet mounted on a heavy teak stand with stainless steel supports.
