Formed
in 1995 by Malcolm Bogaert (ex army) and Bob Appleby (ex RAF).Although both
had an interest in military vehicles previous to this. The club meets in
the original wartime Home guard HQ in the village hall where some members
vehicles are housed. Members in the UK,Ireland, Poland, Russia and whilst
its not the biggest MV club its considers itself the most elite! Current
Chairman is Peter Scally, Vice Chairman John Webster,Secretary/Treasurer
Nicola Bogaert, Area Liasion Officer Malcolm Bogaert. We have links with
MVT/SMVG/SMRS and NEMVC. LHGU is an active unit and parades at most northern
events as well as Europe in general. We support SSAFA ,MOD &British
Legion events annually. |
