MEDAL FAIRS 2018/2019
largest, independent medal bourse
Make a note in your diary and be a part of this most successful, much
talked about event.
Many leading dealers from all over the country will always be in attendance.
New stallholders always most welcome.
Following the very substantial increase in the cost of hiring the Carisbrooke
Hall at the Victory Services Club which made it financially impossible
for me to continue as owner of the Britannia Medal Fair I have been approached
by Dix Noonan Webb and they have acquired the business from me in order
to ensure that this event can remain at this Central London venue where
it has attracted dealers and collectors alike for more than 30 years.
There will be very little to notice in the way of change so it will be
very much "business as usual" and the fair will go ahead as
scheduled on Sundays 18 November 2018 and 17 March 2019 and will be run
on a not-for-profit basis to benefit the medal collecting community. I
will continue as fair manager in a consultancy position and be responsible
for everything concerning the day to day running of the fair. The key
elements of this new not-for-profit arrangement underwritten by Dix Noonan
Webb will be:
¦ FREE entry for collectors and any other interested members of
¦ FREE tables for dealers, societies and all auction houses.
¦ Priority will be given to current and recent stallholders but
newcomers will be encouraged.
Current stallholders will be given a priority period for making bookings
for the Britannia Medal Fair before tables are made available to new stallholders.
Stall locations will of course remain the same for regular stallholders
as will theirtable sizes, i.e. if theyhave usually booked a single table
in the past theywill still receive a 6' table at future events, if theyhave
usually booked a double table they will still receive a 12' table and
This new development can only be good news for all of us
and will ensure that this event will grow and thrive with the new injection
of stallholders and members of the public.
