Miscellaneous British publications and paperwork (incl. WD Forms) for re-enactment

  • War Office
  • Army / Auxilary Fire Service
  • Paperwork for Re-Enactment We have not come across written sources stating what Army Forms (AF’s) were in use with what unit. Of course some are obvious, for instance Rsignals message forms etc, but in general it is mostly a calculated guess as to what papers were used. Through Piet van Onsem of Belgium we came into possession of the following papers, listing Army Forms; this are probably the more common forms used by Pte. , army number ...., a company clerk serving with the Pioneer Corps. Listed here are a number of repro forms that we supply.
  • Army Forms
  • Civilian Forms
  • Home Guard, Civil Defence etc.
  • The Army Bureau of Current Affairs (ABCA) published booklets to enable officers to discuss matters of importance with their men. In these booklets topics are described, for instance how one is to look upon political developments etc. The books are an instrument in the formal discussion with the men and help the officer to steer clear of minefields in their talk to the "other ranks".
  • A.B.C.A. series WAR
  • A.B.C.A. series CURRENT AFFAIRS
  • Army Training Memorandum These booklets are meant for all officers to read. The contents include lessons learned during the war. They describe the developments of army organisation and tactics, and were issued to each and every officer serving in the British army.
