Utah Beach Museum - 1962 - 2011
Photo # 1. this photograph is possibly 1962 during a ceremony for the opening of the museum in an old German bunker complex at Utah beach.

Photo # 3. the museum in 2010 with new additional buildings but before final completion of the extensions. The old German bunker was incorporated into the interior of the museum during modernisation and extension work done late 1970's early 1980's, it is just to the side of the payment desk and visitors pass through the doorways of the bunker into the display areas.
Photo # 4. June 1974 I uncovered two USN lifebelts, complete and undamaged ration tins, a boy scouts of America pen-knife and several rounds of .45 ammunition from the beach area. I donated one of the lifebelts to the museum and it has been on display since then.
