1944 US Navy built GTB with winch originally left the factory as a bomb truck but I restored it using a genuine original GTB rear cargo body.
I restored the vehicle in 2010 and it has been a very reliable and enjoyable vehicle to own, we have driven the the Belgium winter rally in 2012 where it won best in show, also won runner up medium vehicle at War and Peace that same year.
Currently marked up as RNZAF as I have found plenty of evidence of them using these trucks in the pacific regions.
I have also found evidence of them used in the UK before D-Day int he Devon and Dorset regions.
Its on the button ready to go, parts are straight forward to get for GTB's as most of the parts cross over either with other WW2 USA vehicles or with ford Civilian trucks.
The engine was stripped and rebuilt on all standard sizes Gearbox was rebuilt with all new bearings, selectors and gears.
Brakes were all new and cylinders SS sleeved. I replaced the original hydrovac with a brand new Ferret unit 2 years ago, works much better and parts are available off the shelf. Canvas was made my Allied canvas and is very good, totally water proof, does have a small repair at the back of the top sheet. Wiring loom was made by vntage wiring of maine with additional wires for indicators and a 7 pin trailer socket. currently wired 12 volts with an alternator and I have fitted an Anderson socket for a split charging system to the rear.
I have a few spare parts that will come with the truck.
