The jeep comes with lots of history and was used by the Canadian during the war. The bonnet number is the original one although just missing the C, this is confirmed by the buff log book that records it's bonnet number upon release in 1946. The jeep has been restored, but this was some years ago now and has been well used since. It now certainly takes on the look of a real combat jeep. The body was replaced with a replica body tub as were the wings. The bonnet and the windshield are the originals. The original body is still available as are the wings. The body has been part restored but will take someone with the knowledge to finish it. It still retains the holes for the stretcher attachments. The jeep runs very well, and has been almost totally reliable throughout my ownership. It has a latter rebuilt Hotchkiss engine, although there is a late war Willys engine that will come with it as well. Currently it is not MOT'd, with the MOT running out on the 19th of July this year. At present the only thing I think that will stop it going through the MOT is the rear lighting, as it needs a new trailer board. The tyres were all replaced in 2009 before taking it to Normandy for the 65th. It has been used through out the Winter, never fails to start, although it needs a new started motor now, as the one that is on there does not always throw out with enough power. The jeep certainly needs a lick of paint, and few odds 'n' ends tidied up to make it into a very presentable example, where the original body can be restored and replaced over time making this again into a very original vehicle. Also included in the sale is a British 10cwt GS trailer. These are quite rare in themselves. This is in good condition with a good canvas and again the tyres replaced in 2009. There is a great number of spares and bits and pieces that will be included with the jeep, apart from the body these will all fit into the trailer. The jeep is currently in Hampshire/Surrey border and the trailer and body are in Essex. Price - £12,500 Thank you for looking, any
