1943 Austin K3YB 3 Ton GS truck

Restored many years ago but been standing, has only done a few hundred miles since rebuild.
The Good news, I have fitted new seals where necessary to 3 wheel cylinders, and re kitted the Master cylinder, brakes all working fine, front shoes have loads of 'meat' on them, rear shoes were relined a few years ago and have done no miles since. All electrics, lights, wipers etc working OK. Starts easily and drives well. The vehicle army number is the original and I have a copy of the contract details, she was built as one of a small batch (presumeably for a special purpose) and originally had a metal lid to the hip ring which will be included with the sale (I Hope the buyer puts it back, I should have done, but fitted a canvas cover). Tyres are all OK with plenty of tread. During original restoration the radiator was recored and the engine professioally overhauled, replacemnt voltage regulator disguised inside original casing. Spare wheel is WW2 dated and OK as a spare. So as you can see, mechanically she is ready to go! Also included are the tilt frames.
The bad news: The following is all the jobs that i am aware of that will need doing (it would take me about 3 to 6 months to complete but I don't have the time and have projects waiting): Windscreens; both frames need repair work and new rubber (if I can find it I will include the correct profile rubber, but it is easily obtainable), the N/S windscreen glass needs replacing; about 5 boards in the cargo body need replacing as does the lower boards and angle iron frame all round (simple now to remove and refit as boards can be done at same time) and the body chassis extentions need replacing (easy while boards out), new wood in tailgate might be an idea as well, one new wiper blade and the arms tightening to the motor shafts (easy!). Seats cushions are present but a better fitting set would be a good idea. There are a few other odds and sods. A respray will be needed as well.
The following books and spares will be available to the prospective purchaser by seperate negotiation: Workshop manual, photocopy workshop manual, parts manual, 2 Barhams 10.50x16 tyres brand new, s/h gearbox, s/h front propshaft, s/h diff input bearing, s/h pair of halfshafts, s/h water pump, s/h oil pump (I think there is a distrubutor as well, s/h cylinder head, about 4 new head gaskets, box of various instruments and small spares plus anything else I can find!
I am very fond of the old girl, but I am not as young as I was, my interest not as strong and I have two other vehicles to look after, one of which is a full rebuild from the chassis up. So, she has to go to a new home.

Asking £4,500.
