This is a very rare and collectable MkIII Compass. It is stamped T.G. Co Ltd London 'The Gramophone Company' NoB310100 Mk III and is dated 1944.
T.G. Co compasses were made by Francis Barker, the letter 'B' was applied as a prefix to the serial numbers of all military compasses manufactured by Francis Barker.
