07850 398869 Dean Boyce Large Image Swift Training Rifle Model A
This is a WWII RAF issued Swift Training Rifle, series A. The A model is the rarest. Designed to allow instructors to demonstrate holding and aiming of a rifle. It is not a firearm. This particular example is number 624 and is in good working order and can be cocked and dry fired. When doing this the two blades spring forward as they should. The design is similar to that of a P14 (Enfield No 3) rifle. During WWII they were purchased by the Royal Air Force and also saw use with the Home Guard.
There is a home made target frame included in the sale (as seen in the pictures)
An ideal talking point at any display.
