Tanks In Town 2024 The only commemoration of its kind in the world.To commerorate the liberation of the contry  in 1944 by the 83me Bataillon de Reconnaissance of the 3rd Division Blinde U.S, TANKS IN TOWN oragnises every year this major gathering of WWII tanks and other historical military vehicles. Shermans, Chaffees, Pershings, Tank Destroyers, Half Tracks, armoured cars, Jeeps, lorries and several other vehicles will peacefully will drive through the routes of the battle fight. Re-enactments, living history and trade stands welcome. Many World War II and post-war tanks will be presented and baptisms in tanks and vehicles will be possible.

Camp Liberty Zon The event will take place at the Oranjesraat in the Dutch village of Son en Breugel from Friday the 13th of September up to and including Thursday the 18th of September. On the 16th and 17th we are welcoming more than 10 tanks from World War Two to our encampment. A small description of the event: From September 13 to 19, 2024, join us in Son en Breugel for an unforgettable event marking the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Southern Netherlands. Experience history with over 150 authentic WWII vehicles, including tanks and German equipment. Enjoy interactive displays, a vibrant liberation festival, and moving commemorations. 80 years Waalcrossing Nijmegen – The Netherlands Nijmegen commemorates the historic Waalcrossing by the US 82nd Airborne 80 years ago. An event for young and old where there is plenty to see and experience at Rivierpark Nijmegen Waal. 16-18 September there is an education program for school classes and on 20 and 21 September an extensive program of activities for visitors, twice a real Waalcrossing with battle and commemoration, a WW2 basecamp, vehicles and demonstrations.
