"Miss Saigon" is sadly up for sale

Vietnam War era AM General Corporation M151A2 MUTT built between July 1973 and September 1973 under 1971 Contract DAAE07-71-C-0103.
This information was provided after research undertaken by the “Mutt Guru” following uncovering of the body number 0269 located on the spare wheel boss.
Incorrect body tags (on firewall and transmission tunnel) have been added at some time in order to register with the DVLA in 1994.
The 1962 year of manufacture on the logbook is obviously incorrect as this is definitely an M151A2 not n A1.
There is a M151A2 data plate on the dash but this has not been stamped up and is not the correct data plate anyway.
Details of the correct type of data plate are available and can be purchased online. It can then be stamped up with a suitable age related serial number which incorporates the hood number (the MUTT Guru will be happy to provide details of suitable serial/hood numbers depending on which service the MUTT is to represent – US Army, USMC, USAF etc).
Present hood number is incorrect for the age of this MUTT. With information from a previous owner this MUTT apparently was used by US Armed forces in the Philippines and then exported to the UK via Singapore in 1992. This is probably why it escaped demilling and was not cut up, crushed etc in accordance with US Government regulations when these vehicles were disposed of. So she is an uncut MUTT and in excellent condition throughout with no rust. She starts, drives, and stops as she should and everything seems to work without fault including the blackout lights.
Currently sitting on non military 7.0 x 16 tyres but comes with a full set of five practically new Cooper military ndt bar-grip tyres and tubes.
Also comes with manuals, Vietnam war era 1972 dated US helmet and marching compass. There is a canvas cover included which fits over the top for extra protection from the elements if left outside. This is a very very reluctant sale as I have only just found her and had envisaged a very long ownership marking her up as a Vietnam War era USAF MUTT named “Miss Saigon” but unfortunately unforeseen circumstances has meant that I have sadly got to let her go. She has the added bonus of being TAX and MOT exempt plus cheap insurance.
Please contact me if you have any questions or require any more details. Collection only from Bridgwater in Somerset after receipt of cleared funds or cash.
I am looking for offers in the region of £15,500
