1984 Land Rover Lightweight Series 3 FFR Winterised

Owned for nearly 20 years, this lightweight was winterised for operations in northern Europe (AMF-L) including the arctic heater and rear battery box modifications. It is a 1985 registration, so tax and MOT exempt and cheap to insure under a classic policy but I’m not sure if it will be US exportable or not.

The vehicle was recommissioned when I purchased it by a local specialist, it was rewired with a new 24v FFR loom and had a new steering box fitted. For the last MOT, the brakes were overhauled and a new servo fitted, the oil cooler pipes were replaced as well, any work the vehicle needs gets done.

I’ve kept the vehicle as original as possible, so still 24v, with FFR wiring still in place, so a good base to do a radio rebuild, which I always fancied doing but just never had the time.

The paint work is in good condition as it was professionally sprayed a few years back and both the chassis and bulkhead are in good order, with none of the problems associated with the top rail bulkhead etc. The canopy is an original FFR canopy which has been on the vehicle for just over a year so plenty of life left in that, I also have the infra-red headlight covers and the original wheels and 6.50x16 tyres which will be sold with the vehicle.

I have a link to a YouTube video which I can send on request
