Gaz 69

Time to say farewell to my pride and joy, the iconic GAZ 69, an ex-Polish army, Soviet-built, Eastern European equivalent of the Land Rover.

Very rare in the UK, a true military classic.
An absolute showstopper, causing a stir and awe at each and every one of the many shows we have attended over the 10 years we have been together. It is not just a piece of kit. His name is “Bolek”. I love this truck; I just don't have time to take it out anymore. So, it has been stored in a nice, dry garage for the last 3 years. Therefore, I'm looking for a new home and a new owner who will love and respect him as much as I do and show him off as much as he deserves.
With a genuine 22,000 kilometres (approx. 14,000 miles) on the clock, this 53-year-old truck has never been restored. I was lucky enough to buy this truck straight from the Polish Army reserve storage. It has been maintained to keep it in its original condition. One of the photos shows the original mileage when I bought it, the speedometer still has a security tag on it.
Reliable, unstoppable off-roader, much more comfortable to drive than the famous British equivalent.
I have driven it many times from the Cotswolds to Kent and it has only let me down once due to a large amount of War and Peace dust clogging the carburettor. I’ve never intended to keep it absolutely pristine. Therefore, it looks like a proper, working army truck, with some scars and bruisers. It comes with many spare parts and extra equipment: a crank handle, mechanical jack, engine pre-heating burner (see pictures). The first photographs are showing the truck at various military shows and road runs between 2016-2019.
Offers in a region of £9.900 would be considered under one condition: Love it and keep original.
