1972 Manufactured and K suffix registered Series 3 Lightweight 12 volt RHD Chassis No 6A

A rare opportunity to purchase one of the very first Series 3 Lightweights, this very early vehicle was built on 11/05/1972.
The first batch of Series 3 Military Army and Tri-Service under contract WV10787 was for 604 GS Cargo RHD vehicles starting with chassis number 95100003A. This vehicle is chassis number 95100006A. Classic Land Rover magazine did a fairly in depth feature on this particular Series 3 Lightweight Chassis No 6A in their May 2024 issue. This vehicle has been inspected by two qualified Verification Officers and recognized by DVLA for vehicle dating and inspection purposes.
They both verified that the information is correct using all the available data and confirm that all these documents were submitted to DVLA for approval and registration purposes. Taxation Class is "Historic Vehicle".
The vehicle has all the correct markings and chassis plates in place. The many documents related to this vehicle have been authenticated and rubber stamped accordingly.
At some point in its service life was a Training Aid (T/A 149) and fitted with several electrical cut out switches all for teaching and training purposes. All have been removed and a brand new military 12 volt etc.
A brand new Military 12 volt wiring harness has been fitted. This vehicle has an exceptionally good bulkhead and top rail and the original chassis is in very good solid condition. The 4 road wheels have been fitted with new 6.50 x 16 Goodyear Hi Miler tyres.
Many original new parts have been fitted during the rebuild to numerous to list and finally resprayed in original factory Deep Bronze Green and a correct military engine has been fitted.
I have a comprehensive collection of photographs which were taken throughout the rebuild.
These very early vehicles are becoming more and more difficult to find especially in this condition and are a great investment.
I hope it will go to a good home, be well looked after by an enthusiast who will appreciate the pleasure of owning a rare, collectable and historical vehicle brings.
This vehicle is located in Norfolk and I highly recommend that the prospective purchaser makes contact to arrange a date to view and inspect the vehicle.
