Rare 1969 Land Rover Series IIA Lightweight Hardtop. One of approximately 2,000 Series 2A Lightweight / Air portable / Rover 1 Land Rovers.
This particular 24v example served with the Royal Artillery 16 Light Air Defence after entering service in Jan 1969 (Military reg No 40 FG 48) and has been enthusiast owned since demob in 1977. There is a huge history file with this Land Rover, including 16 old MOT certificates. Other documentation includes a Letter from the Royal Logistics Corps museum vehicle history card confirming copy of original chassis number record from Land Rover and copy of DVLA vehicle/owners records.
Also included – pages of service records – detailing work carried out by previous owners, including 2.5l diesel engine fitted in Oct 2009 and stainless steel exhaust 2018, and previous vintage car show attendances. This Land Rover is in good condition for its age continuously garage stored for the past 15 years.
